Trail Overview
Adobe Ranch Road is the camper's dream. Although the surface does have some significant rutting, most high-clearance 2WD vehicles will be able to complete the trail in its entirety as there are no other major obstacles along the path. Dispersed camping is permitted along the entire trail and there are several designated and developed sites located on either side of the road, most of which are tucked into the treeline and have enough room to accommodate multiple vehicles, trailers, or even smaller RVs. There are some low percent grades over the last 2.5 miles with a light mixture of rocks with the primarily dirt surface. The out-and-back trail ends at a locked private land boundary, but there are several other motorized spurs to explore. There is no cell service along the route and no amenities on the road, but less than 1 mile east on SR-59 is a small service site with toilets.
