Trail Overview
Bear Trail starts after the Skinny Canyon and makes a semi-circle to the top of Beaver Falls as an easier alternative to Beaver Falls (but still challenging). Once at the top of Beaver Falls, you can bail out to the west onto an easier road. As you start the loop after Skinny Canyon, you'll go up a ~5-foot tall rock face that is mostly a ramp at the bottom but steeper and more blunt at the top. It winds around the mesa, going into another challenging climb. It's a long, wide, loose climb up a hill with a couple of options for line choice. You can climb up on the left, which is less of a ledge but more off-camber and pushes you into a tree, whereas the right side is a taller ledge. Either way, it leads into a secondary slickrock ledge/ramp to get to the top of the mesa. You can loop around on an easy dirt trail to look down on the Beaver Falls obstacle or bail out to the west on an easy road.
