Trail Overview
This trail is at Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area which is an off-road park. The name holds true as most of this trail is down in a ravine. The park labels this trail as a 3 on their 1-5 scale. The obstacles include some v-notches as well as rocks to crawl and ledges. A beginner can do this trail but not alone. There are areas where a spotter could be needed. When it rains the red clay becomes mud over the rock and traction can be challenging. The ravine is surrounded by trees and offers great coverage from the sun. This trail is a two-way trail. You can turn around but the trail dead ends into other trails or a park road.

Difficulty
There are a couple of obstacles that have bypasses but all are doable in a 4x4 high-clearance vehicle. You have one where you slowly go over rocks, some large. At the end or beginning you will crawl up a rutted rock ledge that is 2 feet high.
