Trail Overview

Embark on an easy drive to a captivating geological wonder! The road culminates in a spacious turnout, where you'll find the marked trailhead for the volcanic trail. Along the way, numerous short detours lead to scenic campsites boasting breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The road itself is primarily well-maintained dirt with occasional flat, slabbed sections, easily navigable by most cars.

Easy graded trail with plenty of camping options along the way. The last few miles were obstructed by ranchers and cows so we opted to turn back around.
