Trail Overview
Lower Rock Canyon Overlook runs north across the top of Lone Pine Ridge, above Rock Canyon, to the overlook point of the northern end of the canyon. It's a beautiful location. There is a dirt bike or quad trail that runs through the bottom of the canyon, or you can hike it or ride horseback. The views of Glenwood and Richfield down in the valley, the majestic mountains all around, and the canyon itself are breathtaking. The trail is rocky in places, but not difficult. You will encounter cattle on the trail in the summertime. There are no gates to open. The south end of the trail begins in the aspen trees, but you move north through sagebrush, the blooming wild roses and oak brush. Spring, summer and fall the colors on this trail will be vibrant. The trail is short, but the view of Lower Rock Canyon is great. Don't forget to acquire the online education course certificate to off-road legally in Utah.
