Trail Overview
The best thing about this trail is the little clearing, back in the trees, where it ends. It's a perfect place to pitch a tent and stay a few days and the perfect place for a picnic. The Fishlake National Forest allows camping for up to 16 days. You pass a pond on this trail that still had water in it in late July 2023, so it's probably spring-fed. The trail has some rocks to maneuver around or over, and they're roughly 12 inches in places. Otherwise, it's an easy trail. If you camp or picnic here, you may be visited by cows or wildlife that summer here. The wildflowers are beautiful, and the forest is healthy in this area.
