Trail Overview
Nearly 1000 ft of elevation is gained when traversing this trail from West to East. The trail has several pockets of loose shale rock. Sage brush, cedar and pine trees make up the majority of the vegetation. Squirrels and chipmunks make their presence known throughout the day. Elk and deer tend to be scarce during the day but can be found at daylight and dusk. There is also a short side trail which takes you into large areas of pine trees and sage brush meadows. It is definitely worth the extra time.
