Trail Overview
The Sidewinder Alternate trail is a 3-mile track that runs south-north next to Sidewinder, gaining about 1,000 feet of elevation. It's an easier bypass than much of the original Sidewinder trail, with fewer obstacles and fewer rocks. Sidewinder Alternate joins back into the main Sidewinder trail right after the rocky switchback section. The trail is packed dirt and crosses through a lot of grass fields.
