Trail Overview
Whites Flat FS 30152 is a 10-mile point-to-point trail located in Garfield County within the Escalante Ranger District of the Dixie National Forest. The road is a full two-lane improved dirt road that is maintained by the forest service. There are no obstacles along the road and it is suitable for any 2WD or 4WD drive vehicle with moderate clearance. The trail runs from 7,200 to 8,500 feet, making this trail impassable in the winter after the first snowfall. The trail will not generally clear until late spring or even early summer depending on the winter snow. This is one of several trails that leads to the interior of the National Forest and ends just south of the Posey Lake campground and recreational area. The trail connects the Barker Reservoir trail with Jacobs Lake Loop. There is no cell phone service along this trail and the nearest services are in Escalante.
