Trestle Road - FS 2696

Trail Overview

Trestle Toad - FS 2696 is a quick spur trail through the Nicolet National Forest on your way to or from Marinette or Forest County. This trail is located less than a mile off of Peshtigo Preserve Road, and Burnt Bridge Road. It is a straight shot with little in the way of corners allowing for easy navigating to or from your destination. For a short trail, there are excellent views that can be had due to the rolling hills surrounding the area, as well as the select-cut forests throughout the area.

Difficulty

This trail can be easily conquered by enthusiasts of all skill levels. Sight lines are excellent as there are minimal corners throughout this short spur trail. In dryer times of the year, dust can become a concern. There can also be wildlife on the trail or crossing the trail. Please keep an eye out for wildlife and remember to tread lightly.
