Trail Overview

The Jack Pine Base trail runs along the east side of Granite Creek and parallels the Granite Creek 30500 trail. Jack Pines lases the base of the trail and runs along the sides of this mountain base in Wyoming. The trail is all dirt, minus the gravel entry at the beginning. Currently, it does not go all the way to Wyoming HWY 189 but is accessible via hiking or horseback riding.

Difficulty

The trail is primarily dirt and does have several areas where water is standing, which can cause issues after heavy rains with mud that can become deep. Several places where small ledges or rocks are, but are less than 6".

Access Description

The trail is accessed by turning off Granite Creek - 30500. Jack Pine Base is closed to motor vehicles approximately 3/4 of the way back to Wyoming HWY 189, but it may open up in the future. To travel the remainder of the trail, you must either hike, bike, or horseback ride.
