Trail Overview
This is a fun loop that starts off with SC39 and SC47. It begins with long downhill sections of s-turns and the trail is several feet below the main desert floor with Yuccas on both sides. After a few miles, you will make a right turn onto SC50 and start a climb up into the mountains. This section provides some great views of the Piute Mountains to the West. As you crest the top of the trail, it turns sharply to the right and begins its descent into a narrow canyon sand wash. This wash has several rocky sections that require you to climb over small boulders. After a few miles, you will make a right turn on SC69 and begin climbing up the mountain. This section of the route is soft with some ruts that require the driver to navigate around them. As the trail crests the top, it is quite soft on the downhill side, and low gear is a good option. The trail will wind down through the Yuccas and soon you will come to a unique rock formation with a large rock hanging just to the left of the trail. There is a small turn-out just past the hanging rock so you can stop and take some pictures. As you continue down the trail is mostly double wide s-turns and soon you will complete the loop and return to SC47.
