Trail Overview

Kickbush is a gnarly trail for those looking for a challenge in Coeur d'Alene National Forest. It is a constant steep trail that would be challenging whether you are going up or down. Full of troughs, ruts, roots, small rocks, loose dirt, and lots of brake bumps. It is probably one of the more trafficked trails near Gold Creek Lodge. It is steep the entire way, with a 12-inch wide trail at sections with ledge exposure, but also wider trail sections that have been blown out by high use. The southern trailhead starts off of Bunco High Drive, and right away, you have steep loose switchbacks. After you get down all of the switchbacks, it starts to flatten out by the creek, but you aren't out of the woods yet because there are still several big root obstacles and narrow sections with significant ledge exposure.
