Mineral Creek is a popular but challenging road that delivers a fun climb up a thin canyon to Poughkeepsie Gulch and Mineral Point. Look for hidden waterfalls at the entrance to Poughkeepsie. There is not a lot of parking at the trailhead, and it can get really packed on the weekends.

Recommend to air down tires under 15 psi or you’ll get beat up pretty good. There are a few spots that will require 4Lo and an experienced driver to navigate possibly a spotter. I would not do this trail while it’s wet and slick. Also do not recommend taking an AWD or stock pickup down this trail. All in all had a blast and it’s one of the more technical issues n the Alpine Loop, definitely recommend for the experienced off-roader.
