Trail Overview
This drive through ponderosa pines leads to two historic mine remains. Drivers may miss Bannie Mine, as it has little evidence left, but Amulet Mine features historic foundations and metal materials just off the side of the trail. Most of the trail is easy-going, but there is one steep hill climb. This climb tends to get washed out, which leaves tree roots and ruts to climb over, so use proper gearing to avoid tire spin. Tire spin can cause damage to tree roots and the trail, and potentially slide your vehicle toward the edge of the road. Use caution or avoid this trail in wet weather. Cell service is very limited in this area.

Difficulty
Most of the trail is just rocky or dirt road. The one hill climb is steep, but not very hard, as long as the trail is dry.
