Trail Overview
This is an unmaintained road in Florida, Massachusetts. The northern end is about a mile from the eastern portal of the Hoosac Tunnel, once the world's second-largest tunnel, and climbs southward out of the beautiful Deerfield River valley. One of the more challenging trails in the Berkshires, this rocky and rutted path skirts a precipitous drop for the first third and becomes a ragged and jagged washout in the middle. The southern third becomes a timid jaunt through woods and clearings, with brush and trees choking the once clear path. This trail has dangerous sections due to the precipitous drop to the east. The road is crumbling near some of these drops. Lockers and good condition, 35" minimum, off-road tires are a must. Do not attempt this trail alone.

Difficulty
Ledges over 2 feet, heavy washouts, and the potential to roll/slide over a hundred feet make this trail a serious 6. There is real potential for rollover here, so take this trail seriously.
