Trail Overview
The journey begins on a well-kept dirt road that gradually transforms into a more rugged path upon reaching the gate of Rancho Club Hacienda. To continue towards Mesa Colorado, simply inform the guard of your passage, who will grant access despite the presence of a rope gate--this stretch of road remains open to the public. Moving forward, the route evolves into a Jeep trail, featuring occasional rutted segments necessitating 4WD and careful wheel maneuvering. As the trail winds through the landscape, it unveils striking vistas of high desert greenery and distinctive rock formations, often frequented by local wildlife such as deer, rabbits, goats, rattlesnakes, and various lizards. The trail's middle segment proves the most challenging, with occasional diversions to circumvent washed-out areas. Approaching Laguna Hanson Road, conditions improve significantly, returning to a well-maintained state.

Difficulty
The trail begins and ends with sections that are well-maintained, offering relatively smooth driving conditions. However, the middle portion of the trail presents challenges with deep rutted sections and necessary detours around washouts, requiring a vehicle equipped with 4WD capabilities. It's important to note that these observations are based on dry conditions; following significant rainfall, the trail's difficulty level would increase substantially.
