This desert trail starts outside of Heroes de la Independencia and terminates at the indigenous community of Santa Catarina. It necessitates vehicles with high clearance and 4WD due to numerous small wash crossings and off-camber sections with rain ruts. Certain segments of the trail demand caution to prevent pin-striping on vehicles. Various desert flowers and several cactus species adorn the surroundings. There are just a few tough spots marked by drop-offs into and out of washes, as well as some off-camber areas. With 4WD and precise wheel placement, tackling these sections shouldn't be too daunting.
