Trail Overview

This ATV trail starts in a dirt wash after ATV trail 1186, surrounded by tall dirt hills. It continues with tight turns in the wash, mostly flat, with small and easy rock ledges. It's mostly on smooth dirt with sparse loose rocks. The wash has lots of blind corners where you have to watch out for oncoming traffic. It climbs in and out of the wash a couple of times, riding on the dirt ledge above the wash and looking down into it. It narrows up a bit like a trough at times. There is one bigger rock ledge obstacle in the wash that would be harder for an ATV, although it's like a ramp. It gets narrow between two rock walls. It continues through a red desert terrain, with big unique buttes in the distance, and ends in a parking area for the Glitter Mine, which is an old gypsum mine that sparkles in the sun and is fun to check out.
