Trail Overview

2123 is a fun and scenic trail in the Tonto National Forest near Camp Creek, Arizona. It's a wide rim trail that runs east to west above a little canyon. This area is pretty popular for UTVs and dirt bikes. The trail is generally pretty easy and straight. It has lots of whoops, ruts, uneven ground, and some spots with more loose rock, but overall is pretty smooth. It has wide-open views of the desert full of ocotillo and saguaro cacti and overlooks the canyon on the north side. The only section that is more difficult is the far east end that goes out to a cool overlook over the canyon. This section is a more narrow ridgeline with a drop-off on either side of you. It becomes pretty rutted and steep here. The viewpoint is a dead end, but it's super worth it to go all the way for the view.

Difficulty

The trail is a 2 difficulty for most of the way and gets slightly more difficult at the east end due to a narrow ridgeline and exposure that is rutted to get to the viewpoint.
