Trail Overview
This sandy wide-wash run is a great connector route. It's primarily pea-sized gravel with some loose sandy sections. Loads of paloverde, mesquite, and ironwood trees line both sides, protruding into the middle occasionally, guaranteeing paint damage. Other sections are wide flat, and fast. Be aware of some deep, sneaky, washed-out sections and a few tall shelves. Some are even 4-5' high. Many species of birds are around, such as roadrunners, mourning doves, hummingbirds, and the occasional crow. Be looking for deer getting flushed out of the dense side cover as you drive by. There could be a major flood during the rainy seasons, so be aware of potential storms upstream. There's a bar of Verizon LTE that fades in and out.
