Trail Overview
The 2741 Extension is a short, rocky trail that can serve as a connector to the main section of the Kaibab National Forest. There is a short, steep, rocky climb with some shelf-type rock formations that could prove challenging as the trail gets more used or erosion and water damage shape the area. Other than that, there are no major obstacles along this trail, but there is also no cell service either, so offline maps are recommended. Up on the plateau, you'll be treated with sweeping views in all directions, and maybe even some elk, deer, or antelope. There are even herds of cattle that use the area for grazing.
