Trail Overview
No obstacles exist on this lovely trail. This section of the 301 winds its way through the majestic forest of Ponderosa Pines. These trees are the lifeblood of this area of the Kaibab National Forest. Most of the trail is wide, at 1.5 lanes wide with plenty of room for passing and turning around if need be. There are scattered sporadic campsites in this area. Unit 9 is notorious for hunting, with Elk being the prized possession. There are cows that graze this forest during the summer, so caution is urged as these animals sometimes like to congregate on, in, and around roads. There are no obstacles on this trail, but also no cell service, so offline maps should be used.
