Trail Overview

This 4-mile-long section of road is an easy trail ride through the Vulture Mountains perfect for high-clearance vehicles, without many obstacles or notable difficulties. It's mostly an easy and wide dirt road of hard-packed dirt with gravel and small loose rocks. The north end starts at Cemetery Wash as a turn-off from North Vulture Peak Road. It's a slight downhill all the way south, going through a forest of saguaro cactus with wide-open views, and ends near a beautiful cholla cactus field. It passes through several unmarked intersections but is mostly easy to follow. The road includes sections of uneven ground, ruts, slight grades up small hills, a slightly loose surface, a bit of embedded rock in the surface at times, and washouts to look out for. The road is nice and wide the whole way, making it a 2 difficulty.
