Trail Overview
This nice, easy desert trail bypasses some of the Jimmie Wash trail. It connects up to the Jimmie Wash at each end. It's an excellent way to bypass the more difficult sections of the wash. The trail earns its 3 rating for the steep, loose hill at the northern end that drops down into the wash. The rest of the route is a pleasant drive through a tight cholla forest. Some of the cactus will likely jump out for a ride on your tires. Keep limbs inside the vehicle. The trail surface is dirt gravel and could be pretty mucky after a rainstorm. The summers in this area get extreme heat, with temperatures regularly reaching over 100 degrees. Bring extra water and supplies. The area has a nice network of trails but not much dispersed camping. There is only one bar of intermittent Verizon cell service. Be sure to download your offline maps before exploring the area.

Difficulty
This trail is overall easy with gently sloping terrain. The only reason it is rated a three is the final hill climb or descent into the wash at the northern end. It's decently long and loose with rocks and loose dirt, some ruts from rainwater causing off-camber line choice, and some small shelves here and there. Otherwise, it's a very easy trail.
