Trail Overview
The 9221? trail is an interesting one, traversing many different landscapes of this section of the Coconino National Forest. On its Northern section, you'll find rocky and rutted sections, with water damage and erosion showing how this area is dictated by the water runoff from nearby hills. As you head South, you'll find smoother sections as you enter the Ponderosa Pines of the forest. While there is some erosion, you'll find no major obstacles along this trail. There is no cell service either, so you'll want to have offline maps downloaded.
