Trail Overview
Apache Maid Climb is FS 620 and starts right before the entrance to Apache Maid Cabin. The road is a maintained dirt road that leads you up Apache Maid Mountain. The road before the climb is dusty and bumpy in places. As you start to climb, the road remains maintained, but the width narrows as you traverse up the mountain. There are some sharp switchbacks as you gain elevation, so slow down for others on the road. This road ends at a locked gate before the final ascent to the Apache Maid Lookout Tower. There is a place to turn around at this locked gate. If you are lucky, this gate may be unlocked and you can finish your climb all the way to the top. There are killer views of the surrounding area while traveling this road.
