Trail Overview
This is a fairly rigorous trail full of all kinds of rewards. Expect lots of close-quarter maneuvering through twisty narrow trails encroached by desert plants that won't hesitate to stick you. If you can get over that, the majestic views of phenomenal prehistoric rock formations and super desert flora will take your breath away.

Difficulty
Expect an uneven, rutted dirt trail with loose rocks, sand, erosion, and washes. Potential obstacles are up to 2 feet, including ledges and short, steep grades.
History
Rumor has it that during the 1600s, Spanish Padres seeking to convert natives and Spanish military explorers seeking gold and silver traversed this area. Their main concern in this God-forsaken land was to find water. This trail was then established and over the years evolved into a trail mostly for prospectors, outlaws, and settlers.
