Trail Overview

This is a very nice trail that connects the Camp Creek Wash to Bartlett Lake Road and has very interesting geological features along the way. There is a gentle climb to start, with some amazing old-growth saguaro cacti along the way. Once you get to the mid-point, there is a rocky climb to a ridge top, which has great 360-degree views of the entire area. This is a trail that is enjoyable for the whole family and provides a few moderately-difficult challenges along the way.

Difficulty

This trail is passable by any SxS or Jeep, but it does present some loose rock climbs that require extra ground clearance. There are some ruts that you need to pay attention to along the way, and some narrow sections with Palo Verde trees that can scratch paint.

Access Description

This trail entrance is not marked with a USFS trail marker, but it is easy to locate by the waypoint. It intersects trail 413 (Camp Creek Wash) on the north side just to the west of a slot canyon.
