Trail Overview
This out-and-back trail crosses the AZPT trail and connects to a network of trails, allowing for different loop trail options. It is one of the easier trails to access from the town of Fort Mojave, just south of Bullhead City. Take Camp Mojave Road to the end of the neighborhood, and the trail begins to the right of the caution signs. This trail is mostly dirt, with some smaller bumpy rocks here and there. There are sections with deeper ruts in the turns from heavy SXS use. This trail crosses the AZPT Segment Lake Havasu to Kingman. There is a jump obstacle just before reaching the AZPT called Johnny Jump. It is marked with a big metal sign, and the obstacle is a hill. If hit with speed in either direction, it appears a vehicle will launch into the air. There is a bypass to this obstacle, but it can also be safely driven down slowly. Continuing past the AZPT trail towards the mountains, this trail has some slight ruts and gravel sections. It is generally a nice, mellow trail. The trail ends at the Linda Mine, which is up a small canyon. There are cement pads and other remnants from the mine still standing. At the top of the mine is a memorial for Linda that looks out over the valley. There is cell service up here. Down across from the mine is a lovely flat campsite with a fire ring and cell service. This area can also get extremely hot in the summer months. Bring extra water and supplies if traveling during the summer.
