Trail Overview
This dirt road is a route that branches off Spruce Mountain Lookout guided trail. The road starts off pretty mellow then starts to get steep and there are several sharp turns with loose rock scattered all over the surface of the trail. As you traverse down this trail, the road is very narrow so slow down and watch out for other vehicles. There will be three sharp turns as you drop in elevation. After these turns in the road, the trail's surface becomes much more maintained with no more loose rocks all over the road. While traveling this entire trail, you will alternate between National Forest land and private property. Please be respectful to the residents and slow down to keep the dust down. This trail would get very slippery after any decent rain/snow. This trail ends at the junction with Senator Highway.
