Trail Overview
The Gold Claim trail is a rocky, one-lane trail of which there are numerous in the area. There is a large area toward the North end that is popular with miners and has a large flat area for camping that can accommodate vehicles of all different shapes and sizes. This trail is one lane, so please remember that if you do need to pull off the trail to pass and/or turn around, please TREAD LIGHTLY as this environment is fragile. There is some erosion and water damage along this trail, as well as hills with loose rock and possible ruts, so you'll want to keep an eye on the trail. Other than that, there are no major obstacles along this trail. The cell service is spotty, with most of the trail being serviced by 3G on Verizon.
