Trail Overview
This trail begins from a turn-off of the Mojave & Milton Historic Railroad Trail. The trail follows parts of the old Milltown Rail Line. All that remains of the old rail line are dirt berms and long stretches where the old tracks have been removed. There is a hiking trail that follows the old railroad tracks; it crosses the 4x4 trail in several places. Keep an eye out for wild burros in the area. Most of this trail is dirt with some loose rock sections. The trail is narrow and only one vehicle wide, with some small washed-out ruts. There are a few hills with loose transitions. The last third of the trail turns away from the old rail line and runs up a wash. This area is slightly more technical, with rocky sections and loose sand. The trail eventually pops up out of the wash at the very end. There is an open, dispersed campsite before the trail turns up a hill and links up with the South Spur Loop to Oatman Trail. From here, getting to the pavement and old Highway 10 is easy. There are one to two bars of AT&T cell service on the trail. This area gets hot in the summer, and this trail has no shade. Bring plenty of extra water and supplies if traveling in the hot months. This is also an area prevalent with rattlesnakes.

The trail is narrow with loose rock sections. There are a few small hills and transitions to navigate. Some little washed-out ruts on the part of the trail make a few sections feel slightly off-camber. The technical rating is only for the last section that runs up a loose sandy wash.
