Trail Overview
This is an enjoyable Jeep trail that circles the non-wilderness portion of the New Water Mountains. This road serves as access to a lot of trails in the area. It's quite scenic with views of the mountains all the way around. It has a strange-looking rock formation up in the hills. There is an abandoned stone mining structure at the Apache Chief Mine. The most interesting part of the trail is the "Hogsback". A fairly long portion of the trail drops off on both sides. Drive carefully.
