Trail Overview
A fun, challenging trail that leads back to the Southern Cross Mine area. There are lots of dispersed camping spots along the way and quite a few killer ones at the end. The trail is difficult in spots with loose rocky hill climbs, rocky washes, sandy washes, and tight bermed corners. Some sections are pretty whooped-out once it becomes a straightaway. There are lots of fields of cholla cactus and spectacular mountain views. Be careful of tire damage on sharp rocks and paint damage from trees along the trail. There is no cell service.
