Trail Overview
Telegraph Spring Cutoff is an interesting trail. Thought to be a mining access road, this dirt track has lots of erosion and water damage on it. There are a few sporadic campsites along this trail, with primitive fire rings. As always, please check local forest service regulations as this area is prone to large and uncontrollable wildfires. There are mines in the area, with debris, ruins, and mineshafts that are not always well marked, so caution is urged. There is no service in this area, so offline maps are essential. This trail has a few offshoot trails that might lead to campsites or other mining areas. At the Western edge, where the mapped trail ends, you'll find heavy erosion and obstacles as the trail narrows quite quickly down to a Moto width. There are few places along this trail to pass and/or turn around, so if you do have to leave the established path, please remember to TREAD LIGHTLY as this area is prone to prolonged damage.
