Trail Overview
Toad Washout proves to be a very nice trail. With no cell service, the use of offline maps is recommended. This trail is pocked with numerous washouts and erosion areas with some entrances and exits being off-camber, so caution is urged. (The truck is shown in the pictures of the washout/crossing for scale). As you meander through the gentle hills and pastures, you'll find evidence of mule deer, elk, jackrabbits, cattle, and numerous bird species. Well traveled by hunters, the wash crossings and erosion have ways around/through to keep you on track. The juniper trees and rocky hills are amazing, and the fresh air out here is refreshing, so feel free to take it in.
