Trail Overview
Trail 9 is a mile-long trail around the perimeter of the Alto Pit OHV area. It starts on the Power Line road at the edge of one of the towers and drops down off the hillside on a gravel surface two-track. It's a super curvy trail through lots of bushes and small trees in a high desert terrain, that is easy, fast, and flowy. Since there are tons of curves, you have to watch for oncoming traffic around the blind corners. There are some small roots and rock faces embedded in the trail, but it's mostly easy, and great for a beginner rider. There isn't much elevation change. The trail drops 260 feet over a mile as it goes north to south. It goes through a few intersections that are all well-marked.
