Trail Overview
Wood Spring is a mellow trail that cruises through part of the Prescott National Forest. The majority of this trail is wide, with some sneaky rocks mixed in. Along the way, there are several beautiful spots where the trees open up and beautiful vistas can be seen. There are wash crossings on this trail, so you'll have to pay attention to the road despite the vistas. As you go west, the trail narrows and becomes more challenging, eventually narrowing to little more than a cattle path. There are no major obstacles on this trail, however, the western end where the trail narrows is at the bottom of a long steep hill covered in loose rock.

Difficulty
This is an unmaintained trail that is remote. It leads to a beautiful vista in what would appear to be a hidden canyon, where the trail narrows considerably at the bottom of a long, loose rock-covered hill. The trail narrows to little more than a cattle path at this point. The wash crossings may prove challenging after a rain or snow event.
