Trail Overview
Trail #421 starts at an unmarked intersection with #400 on a shelfy and narrow section of the trail beneath the pine trees. Right away there is a section of rocky trail with boulders embedded in the surface of the dirt, followed by a rocky creek crossing in an overgrown bushy area. The climb out from the creek is on loose dirt which is a moderate challenge. The trail continues to follow the creek on a shelfy narrow path. There is one washed-out section where the trail gave way, and a big rock at peg height that makes it hard to go around. There is another creek crossing at the northeast end that is troughed out and deep in the center. If you take the main line through the creek crossing, it's hard not to get funneled into the trough, so don't take the main line. Overall this is a more intermediate trail in the Danskin Trail System, but a fun challenge with great scenery.
