Trail Overview
This is an easy .9 mile long spur off of Junction Mountain trail that takes you to a lookout tower and an incredible view of the North Clearwater Mountains that is a view you don't want to miss out on. It's an easy dirt trail that climbs almost 500 feet in .9 miles up from Junction Mountain Trail. It goes through some pine trees, with some small rocks and roots, but is mostly smooth and easy. By the start of this trail, you've already done most of the climbing on Junction Mountain Trail to get to the summit, so it's just a little bit more climbing to earn this amazing view, which is very worth it. It makes a great spot to stop for lunch on your day ride. There's potential for downfall on the trail, but it looks like most of the logs have been cut, and there aren't any other singularly difficult obstacles. This trail is open 8/1 - 11/15.
