Trail Overview

Little North Fork Coeur d'Alene River Road (209) is the main route through this part of the Coeur d'Alene National Forest. On the southeast end, it turns from pavement to gravel just past Bumblebee Campground and heads northwest to Honeysuckle Campground. There are numerous spots to camp alongside the road as well. NF-209 is a well-maintained and fairly wide road that allows for easy traveling with an RV or 2WD vehicle and has more traffic than most other roads in the area. It intersects a number of other trails along the way.

NF-209 is a well-maintained main access road. Any vehicle should be able to make it down this road outside of snowy conditions.

Access Description

From the main paved route (NF-208) follow signs towards Bumblebee Campground. Or from the west side, head up Wolf Lodge (NF-202) towards Honeysuckle Campground.
