Trail Overview
Ripley Lake 3240 is a short easy well maintained gravel road to Ripley Lake which is a 20 acre 12 foot deep lake. There you can find picnic areas with barbeque pits and boat docks for fishing. Anglers will need a fishing permit from the Missouri Department of Conservation. The only downside is there are no restrooms at this time. They will be putting new restrooms in September 2023 according to the US Forest Service. There are nice walking paths at this lake that take you around to different areas at the park. Fishing here is really popular and is one of the only places to fish in this area. This lake provides ample shade from the suns rays. Trash Cans were limited as well so please pack it in and pack it out. Ripley Lake is sponsored by the Ripley County Conservation Club. The best time to enjoy this area is the spring, summer and fall. Winters here can be very cold so outside activities are limited.
