Trail Overview

Granite Ridge is mostly a single track trail connecting FS 4200 (Granite Ridge) to FS 595 near Lolo Pass. The single track starts about 2.8 miles from the junction of FS 4200 (Granite Ridge) and FS 343 (Fish Creek). It will be visible on the right side of FS 4200 but is not marked. The trail travels through heavy forest, previous burn areas, and open areas near the top.

Difficulty

The steepest and most technical section of this trail is located about a mile from the bottom. If you are comfortable climbing or descending this early section of the trail, the rest of the trail will be within your comfort level as this is the most difficult part. Some sections in the middle contain heavy brush and several climbs have ruts that can be up to a foot deep. Many sections of this trail are flowly with long sight lines.

Access Description

When riding this trail you can park at the junction of Fish Creek and Granite Ridge Forest Service roads and ride the 2.8 miles to where the single track begins as there is a better parking/staging area.
