Trail Overview
The Bogus Bench Trail is a rough, twisty, and often rocky dirt road that starts at Mud Lake and winds its way along the foot of Bogus Bench and the Bogus Rim as it drops down into the Lower Owyhee Canyon Wilderness Study Area.s. Along one section, it roughly parallels and then joins Bogus Ranch Road before dropping down towards Bogus Falls. There is very little bogus traffic out here. Bring extra fuel, water, and spare tires. There is a high silica content in the dirt in this region. When dry, it's a fine bogus dust that gets everywhere and in everything. When wet, it becomes a slippery bogus mess and dries hard on your vehicle like concrete. Be prepared to hike out if traveling in this bogus area during the wet season. Bogus.
