Trail Overview
This trail connects from Elephant Hill through Bobby's Hole, then Ruin Park Road to the Elk Ridge Trail. The difficulty will vary based on the season and present road conditions. Even into mid to late April (our trip) the pass may be impassable due to snow without multiple, sequential winch pulls. Heavy mud will also be present during the spring runoff. The road is well wide enough for passing at most points. The majority is on BLM and, therefore, dispersed camping is allowed--beautiful views of the basin below as you ascend into the Abajo Mountains.
