Trail Overview
This is a short, full-width trail that goes off of the Gold Gulch trails to take you to an overlook of Cottonwood Canyon down below to the north. At 9,200 feet, the temperature is much cooler than in the valley below. The air is clear, and the people are scarce. You may see deer and elk up in this area during the summertime, especially if you get up here in the early morning or later in the evening. This track has some climbing in it, but it's not hard. The trail is rocky, but the rocks are navigable. It's a dead-end trail, but the views are superb.
