Trail Overview
This is a very easy road that most vehicles with more than 6-8 inches of clearance could travel, with the right placement and driving in the right spots. Right after turning off the pavement, there is a parking area where you can unload ATVs and or air down. This trail goes up to open meadows that have some dry camp spots set up. There is also a pit toilet in the area where the Aspen Pass ATV trail connects. The road is rutted, rocky, and has some erosion in some spots. Cars should stay down lower in the meadow areas unless they have more than 6-8 inches of clearance and can afford a scrape in a spot or two. This is a scenic trail that goes up through the pines and aspens. There are two sharp switchbacks but they can easily be handled by most trucks, SUVs, and smaller vehicles. Motorhomes and travel trailers are not advisable past the meadow area. There is a gate just past the meadow area that is closed in the springtime due to the watershed in the area, so there are no motor vehicles allowed up during that time.

Difficulty
Small cars with clearance can take this trail at its beginning. As you get past the gate, it starts to get rocky, rutted, eroded, and has some small embedded rock shelfs.
