Trail Overview
The Post Road Trail can be accessed via an underpass along the I-70 frontage road approximately 1 mile east of the Gooseberry exit. The trail passes through sagebrush flats, filled with cedar trees, scrub oak, aspens and pine. The surrounding hills have a red color due to the abundance of iron in the soil. Over the nearly 8 miles, there is an elevation gain of 2,600 feet.
