Trail Overview
Don't let 26's Connector fool you, it's a gorgeous trail. If you're lucky, like I was, to experience this trail after a rainy or wet season, the wildflowers will astound you. Dirt and winding, there are no obstacles on this trail, other than the chalk-type dust on the dry sections, and the occasional sneaky rock. It winds beautifully through the edge of the dense mixed pine and high grassland of the Kaibab National Forest. Keep a lookout for the wild horses and elk that populate the area, especially the elk, as this area is world renowned for hunting, and is a popular shed-hunting site in the off-season. Grand Canyon National Park is nearby with other popular activities as well.
